The Multidisciplinary work in pharmacovigilance
Abstract
Teamwork, now called multidisciplinary work, provokes a reflection on the benefits of collaborative lines of research to care for the prevailing model of patient, family, community and population, immersed in a sociocultural and political framework, in what is now known as "Frontier Science". This collaboration among health professionals originates from the intrinsic competencies of nurses, physicians, pharmaceutical chemists, nutritionists, social workers, laboratorians, psychologists, etcetera. The objective is to respond to the needs of individuals either in first level clinics established in rural communities, in second or third level hospitals and/or at home from the continuity of care and especially to the most vulnerable groups.
