Abstract

Nurses have long been claiming our professional identity and assimilating it with what we consider to be our greatest identification, care.

Of course, I have absolutely nothing to reproach such a worthy and just claim, not only professional, but also scientific, managerial, teaching, research and social.

On such an important and significant day, worldwide, as May 12, in commemoration of the birth of Florence Nightingale, undoubtedly the precursor of modern nursing, we nurses celebrate our day.
