Sergio Pitol, The magician of Mexico
Abstract
El mago de Viena (2005) closes a series of autobiographical texts that Sergio Pitol has been published since 1996 starting with El arte de la fuga. At the same time continues with the same writing ideas developed by Borges in stories such as “El zahir”, “El aleph”, “El milagro secreto” y “Pierre Menard, autor del Quijote”. This allows me to establish a comparison among Pitol’s relations with other authors and have a better understanding of its writing and figure proposed in his narrative.
