Urban Identity: Portraits of a Neighborhood Formed with an Immigrant Population from Puebla
Abstract
The text is about the sociolinguistic characterization of a neighborhood in the city of Xalapa, Ver., which was founded with an immigrant population from the state of Puebla in the forties of the last century, in the times when the railroad occupied a preponderant place in social, economy and cultural life of the country. A neighborhood recognized in the 80´s for its group cohesion and its brave spirit in front of other neighborhoods.
