Abstract

In this thematic issue of Mirada Antropológica, the aim is to examine how body life is regulated by biomedical intervention practices governed by specialized scientific knowledge.

Doctor of Science in the specialty of Educational Research from CINVESTAV, Master of Social Medicine from UAM-X and Bachelor of Nursing and Obstetrics from ENEO-UNAM. Professor-Researcher at the Department of Health Care at UAM-X, Health and Society Research Area and Professor of the Subject at ENEO.

Manuel Méndez Tapia, Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP), Colegio de Antropología Social

Doctor of Science in the specialty of Educational Research from CINVESTAV. Master in Social Medicine and Bachelor of Psychology from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Xochimilco Unit. Member of the National System of Researchers of CONACYT. Research Professor of the College of Social Anthropology, BUAP.
