Review of the book "Quintana Roo and its municipalities: its dynamics and productive economic structure".
Abstract
The Academic Body of Economic and Social Studies (CAEES) of the Autonomous University of the State of Quintana Roo makes this book available to a wider public as an extension of the previous one published in November 2013 by Ken and Cabrera entitled "Quintana Roo: the economy and its municipalities” with data from the 2003 and 2008 economic censuses of the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI). Many political and economic events have already passed in the state that have reconfigured the space and its economic dynamics. Three municipalities were created from 2008 to date: Tulum in 2008, Bacalar in 2011 and Puerto Morelos in 2015. These regional divisions imply not only institutional political restructuring, but also changes in economic-productive activities that impact the labor, productivity and the performance of economic activities.
