Validez y fiabilidad: claves para el desarrollo de un cuestionario como instrumento de medición confiable

Resumen

La fiabilidad y la validez son elementos fundamentales en la creación de instrumentos de medición, ya que garantizan la calidad y precisión de los datos obtenidos. La fiabilidad se refiere al grado en que se obtienen resultados consistentes y estables a lo largo del tiempo. Mientras que la validez indica qué tan bien se mide lo que se pretende medir. Ambas aseguran que los resultados sean representativos y útiles para el propósito del estudio. Además, están estrechamente relacionadas: un instrumento puede ser confiable pero no válido; sin embargo, no puede ser válido si no es confiable. Por esto, es crucial evaluar diferentes tipos de validez y de fiabilidad. Este trabajo aborda la importancia de evaluar la fiabilidad y validez de un cuestionario, ya que es fundamental para obtener información precisa, comparable y de calidad. Asimismo, se presentan recomendaciones para su diseño, desarrollo y evaluación, así como descripciones de softwares y herramientas para realizar las pruebas estadísticas que permiten medir la validez y la fiabilidad.
