EDUCACIÓN PREVENTIVA PERIODONTAL: UN ENFOQUE VITAL PARA ADULTOS CON DIABETES E HIPERTENSIÓN

Resumen

Este artículo aborda la importancia de la educación preventiva periodontal en adultos que enfrentan comorbilidades, específicamente diabetes tipo II e hipertensión. Explora la profunda conexión entre la salud bucal y estas condiciones médicas, destacando la relevancia de la prevención para el bienestar oral y su conexión sistémica. El objetivo principal es difundir de manera accesible la necesidad de adoptar prácticas de cuidado bucal rigurosas, promover exámenes dentales regulares y ofrecer consejos prácticos para la gestión integral de la salud en el contexto de enfermedades crónicas. A través de esta divulgación científica, se busca sensibilizar a la población sobre la interrelación entre la salud bucal y las condiciones médicas concomitantes, fomentando un enfoque preventivo para mejorar la calidad de vida de estos pacientes.
