Abstract

The name of metaphor is itself a lexicalized metaphor. Proposing a different name for metaphor would involve transforming its figuration mode and finally transforming its concept. It will be analyzed from the perspective of Ricoeur and Derrida, the possibility of overcoming the apparent paradox present in the theoretical duality of the Theory of metaphor-Metaphor of theory. For this, the tools of the hermeneutics of suspicion will be put in the service of metaphor theory.
