Abstract

Laura Tela is a poblana artist graduated from the Institute of Visual Arts of the government of the state of Puebla, she has a background in social anthropology. Since 2015 she defines herself as a painter and visual artist. She considers that the training in social anthropology showed her a window to a diversity of possibilities to see different socio-cultural realities and this tries to reflect it in her work as a painter, therefore, the messages she transmits are about social issues from satire, gender issues, childhood, but also in her murals you can see science dissemination.
