My words cover you like ivy: stylistic-textual approaches around four viral notes starring women
Abstract
This article proposes a stylistic review of four viral notes published in El Universal, Milenio, Excelsior and UnoTV starring women in order to establish and analyze the stereotypes, roles and social structures they reproduce from certain textual elements. This analysis will be guided by the ideas of Ana Tamarit, Nuria Quintana (2011) and María Isabel Menéndez (2007) who analyze the role of women as producers and protagonists of viral and journalistic articles, highlighting the work of Luz Moreno (2002) and Carlos Scolari (2010), who delve into the transformation of communicative processes for the sake of economic and power interests. Likewise, the stylistic discussion will be made through the concept of partial signifiers proposed by Dámaso Alonso. All this will be done with the aim of reflecting on the way in which contemporary media construct and reconstruct the image of women.
