To translate nonbinary identities from English to Spanish
Abstract
This article explores the different challenges that a translator may face when translating a non-binary identity from English to Spanish. For this, four essays from the anthology Nonbinary, Memoirs of Gender and Identity were translated to Spanish to identify in which part of the language are manifested these identities and to find some translation techniques so that each identity could find its best equivalent in Spanish, in order to give a proposal of strategies and considerations for this work.
