The absent body in Noche de Alba. A reflection of modern society

Abstract

Violence is a worldwide problem whose impact crosses all borders. This allows it to present itself in different modes to then be easily digested and thereby be able to insert itself into the socially acceptable and form part of our everyday lives. The purpose of the following article is to examine in what way violence is manifested through the literary work produced by women, specifically in the short story “Noche de Alba” by author Josefina Estrada. It establishes theoretical support in the proposals of Judith Butler and Henri Lefebvre which address the theme, as well as in the relationship which exists between body, space and voice.
