Abstract

The book Discursos y metáforas interculturales. Un estudio antropológico de la política educativa en una universidad intercultural (BUAP, 2021), written by Dra. María Guadalupe Huerta Morales, is a very important work to analyze the relationship between different community social actors, institutions, teachers and students with the educational theory-practice-discourse, in one of the Intercultural Universities created by the Mexican state at the beginning of the new millennium and that is walking towards its first twenty years: The Intercultural University of the State of Puebla (UIEP), which currently has two academic units, the first in the municipality of Huehuetla that was born in 2006, located in the town of Lipuntahuaca (Totonaca-Nahuatl region) and the second in Tlacotepec de Benito Juárez, in San Marcos Tlacoyalco (2019), Ngigua (Popoloca) region. The book develops an in-depth analysis of the central unit located in Lipuntahuaca Huehuetla, is divided into three parts: 1) Maps, routes and places, 2) journeys, realities and senses and 3) Colophon.

Felipe Javier Galán López, Universidad Intercultural del Estado de Puebla, Unidad Tlacotepec de Benito Juárez, Puebla, México

Full-time research professor at the Intercultural University of the State of Puebla, Tlacotepec de Benito Juárez unit. Member of the academic core of the Master in Intercultural Learning Environments. D. in History and Regional Studies from the Universidad Veracruzana. Master in Humanistic Studies Tecnológico de Monterrey, Bachelor in Anthropology Universidad Veracruzana. National Researcher level 1, of the National System of Researchers of the National Council of Science and Technology (Conacyt). Researchers of Veracruz (Coveicydet), has PROMEP profile. She is a member of the Colegio de Etnólogos y Antropólogos Sociales A.C. (CEAS), of Antropólogos Iberoamericanos en Red (AIBR) and of the Red Nacional de Estudios de los Movimientos Sociales (National Network of Social Movements Studies).
