Cross-cultural travel, discourses and metaphors
Abstract
The book Discursos y metáforas interculturales. Un estudio antropológico de la política educativa en una universidad intercultural (BUAP, 2021), written by Dra. María Guadalupe Huerta Morales, is a very important work to analyze the relationship between different community social actors, institutions, teachers and students with the educational theory-practice-discourse, in one of the Intercultural Universities created by the Mexican state at the beginning of the new millennium and that is walking towards its first twenty years: The Intercultural University of the State of Puebla (UIEP), which currently has two academic units, the first in the municipality of Huehuetla that was born in 2006, located in the town of Lipuntahuaca (Totonaca-Nahuatl region) and the second in Tlacotepec de Benito Juárez, in San Marcos Tlacoyalco (2019), Ngigua (Popoloca) region. The book develops an in-depth analysis of the central unit located in Lipuntahuaca Huehuetla, is divided into three parts: 1) Maps, routes and places, 2) journeys, realities and senses and 3) Colophon.
