Critical Thought and Social Action: An Essay in homage to the memory of Theodor Adorno
Abstract
The essay is a synthesis of relevant ideas of Marxist eco-socialism in relation to social action. Social action thus represents the "praxis" of authentic human liberation: acting of the person-social subject, together with the elements of nature and in harmony with the matter of the universe. Their understanding is essentially tied to critical thinking. Especially in the relationship between person and nature. The harmony of human action with the elements, human or not, implies the absence of any alienation. Human action from the perspective of critical thinking and complex systems the explicit manifestation of Social Metabolism in history.
