Editorial Politics
Amoxcalli welcomes unpublished contributions from graduate students, professors and researchers who are not awaiting review by another journal. Articles are submitted to a double-blind review. First they are reviewed by a member of the Editorial Board to assess the relevance of the article with respect to its content as well as compliance with editorial standards and review under a plagiarism detection tool. Subsequently, when it passes this first review, it is sent to two specialists in the subject for their opinion. If there is a conflict between favorable and unfavorable opinions for publication, the intervention of a third evaluator will be requested, whose opinion will be definitive. The opinion will be made through an online form and will have 30 calendar days to complete it. The opinion may be:
1) Accepted.
2) Accepted with minor changes. Only if the author makes the changes suggested by the review within a period not exceeding 20 calendar days from the date of receipt of the notification.
3) Accepted with relevant changes. The article must comply with the relevant changes suggested by the reviewers who will review this new version to decide its publication or definitive rejection.
4) Not accepted.
Regardless of the results of the opinion, the author will receive in writing the opinions of the reviewers.
Accepted papers will enter the editing process to be included in the corresponding issue of the journal. A preliminary version of the text will be sent to the authors for review and approval. They will have 3 calendar days to submit their approval; if they do not receive it within the deadline, the Editorial Committee will assume the approval.
