La forsitia (Forsythia virissima) es una planta originaria de China que ha sido objeto de interés científico debido a sus propiedades antioxidantes y antimicrobianas, así como a compuestos como el ácido cafeico y el ácido clorogénico, que le confieren actividad medicinal y son necesarios para prevenir el daño celular causado por los radicales libres. El estudio de esta planta puede contribuir al desarrollo de nuevos fármacos y terapias basadas en productos naturales, lo que representa una alternativa interesante para la búsqueda de opciones terapéuticas más seguras.
