La diabetes en Puebla, un estudio de caso

El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo evaluar la ingesta y excreción de sodio y potasio en pacientes con DT2. Se diseñó un estudio observacional, descriptivo y transversal. Pacientes con diagnóstico de DT2 <5 años, sin insulina fueron caracterizados clínica, bioquímica, antropométrica y dietéticamente. En la evaluación de la ingesta dietética mediante diario de alimentos, la muestra estudiada presenta una ingesta excesiva de Na y deficiente de K. Además de un desbalance entre la excreción de Sodio (NaU) y Potasio (KaU), presentando un índice Na/K urinario elevado que les confiere incremento de riesgo CV y renal.
