Salvage of the film archive of Luz y Fuerza del Centro (Light and Force of Center)

Abstract

This is, among other things, a report on the state that holds one of the most important assets of the former Luz y Fuerza del Centro. I mean the film fund, which was generously hosted by the Directorate of Film Studies at the National Autonomous University of Mexico in 2006. Unfortunately, because of the extinction imposed on that parastatal by the state on October 11, 2009, it was not possible delivery of the rest of the materials, so there are fears about the fate of another large number of media. In effort to recover and rebuild the history of this century-old company, should be made for consideration by stakeholders an interesting exercise that involved the painstaking task of cataloging, which was to provide the greatest possible elements relating to dimensions such as time, geographical space identification of characters and workplaces, among other variables, to strengthen future research.
