Notes on the agony and crisis of Europe in the work of María Zambrano

Abstract

In this essay we present some ideas of María Zambrano on the agony and crisis of Europe. It is a sketch in which we expose the relationship between the crisis and the agony of Europe with the rise of Christianity and, from there, with the link with violence and the religious sense attributed by the Spanish philosopher. The genesis of the crisis of Europe we have found in the loss of the vital space and the interiority of the soul, in the reification of the subject.
