BACTERIAS MULTIDROGORESISTENTES ¿LA PANDEMIA QUE VIENE?

Resumen

La recién cursada pandemia ocasionada por el virus SARS-CoV2, nos ha dejado varias lecciones; dentro de ellas destaca la vulnerabilidad del ser humano como especie al daño que pueden causar agentes infecciosos, pero también que con la participación responsable de la sociedad en conjunto con las políticas públicas se pueden contener los embates de esas fuerzas de la evolución. Un enemigo silencioso que ha estado al acecho y que crece constantemente lo constituyen las bacterias, que por su plasticidad tienen una alta capacidad de adquirir y desarrollar mecanismos para evadir la acción de los fármacos que utilizamos para el control de las infecciones. En este documento, se presenta el estado actual de los principales agentes microbianos causantes de infecciones y que han sido catalogados como prioritarios para agencias de salud internacionales y el panorama que representa que alberguen mecanismos de resistencia para su contención. De igual forma, se mencionan aspectos regulatorios y el papel de la sociedad para evitar la diseminación de bacterias Multidrogorresistentes.
